MACC'S SIGNATURE FUNDRAISING GALA AGAIN DELIGHTS ALL THE SENSES.
This year's theme, "In Celebration of Hula," promises an evening rich in cultural extravagance as Maui Arts & Cultural Center's signature gala takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. at Yokouchi Pavilion and A& B Amphitheater. The evening begins with a fresh flower lei greeting and Hawaiian music serenade. Mix, mingle and taste pupu created by chefs from top-tier Maui restaurants and enjoy premium wines from boutique wineries. Revel in performances by Kumu Hula Napua Greig and her Halau Na Lei Kaumaka O Uka and Kumu Hula Kamaka Kukona and his Halau O Ka Hanu Lehua. Additional entertainment includes Joel Katz, The Hula Honeys, Jimmy Mac & the Kool Kats and others. Silent and live auctions offer the chance to bid on hundreds of items, from fabulous Hawaii staycations to Chihuly blown glass sea-inspired art to autographed musical instruments and more. Must be 21 or older with valid photo ID. Tickets range from individual "cruiser" pass for $195 to $500 for table seating.
