In addition to the pitch formula, pitch psychology, strategy and outlines on research and strategic targeting will be offered. Business hopefuls will be invited to present their project and receive feedback.

** “How to be a Successful Entrepreneur” with Wayne Wong will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Hawai’i Small Business Development Center will present this informational workshop in which participants will learn about entrepreneurship, key ingredients for business success, steps involved in starting a business and sources of capital. Anne Gachuhi of the Home Gardening Support Network will conduct a class titled “Successful Tropical Fruits Orchard Management” from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Lumeria Maui, Makawao. This session will cover information on choosing the right varieties of the specific tropical fruits to grow in your location, soil amendments to use, planting procedures, fertilization schedules, proper pruning techniques and harvesting.
