Student applications for Hawaii Youth Symphony 2019-20 fall season close at 5 p.m. Friday.
Applications with the $30 fee must be received by then. Late applications will be accepted with a $50 application fee if received by 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 1.
HYS is accepting applications for the following groups:
Youth Symphony I -- the most advanced of its seven orchestras, YSI is considered one of the finest youth symphonies in the country. Conducted by Dr. John Devlin.
Youth Symphony II -- the second most advanced of its orchestras. Conducted by Elton Masaki and Susan Ochi-Onishi.
Concert Orchestra -- the third most advanced orchestra is the entry level to the symphony program. Conducted by Hannah Watanabe and Wayne Fanning.
