The popular Artist 2 Artist concert series featuring much-loved multiple award-winner Henry Kapono engaging in intimate musical trysts with Hawaii's favorite artists returns with monthly Friday shows from August to November in McCoy Studio Theater at Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului.
This innovative format allows for easy familiarity between artists as they talk story, play music and entertain questions from the audience.
On Aug. 23, Kapono shares the stage with Sean Na'auao, a multiple Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winner known for the hit "Fish & Poi."
The multi-talented Blayne Asing jams with Kapono on Sept. 13, followed by Jerry Santos, best known for his contribution to the group Olomana.
Capping off this installment is Alx Kawakami, a successful solo artist and part of the family-inspired Manoa DNA, who joins Kapono on Nov. 8
Individual tickets are $35, $45 and $65, plus applicable fees, with MACC members receiving a 10 percent discount.
