Each April, the Lahaina Restoration Foundation, Wo Hing Society hostsan annual two-day Kite Festival & Kite Flying Day on the lawn adacent to Lahaina Cannery Mall.
Kite enthusiasts are invited to bring their own kite to fly and get tips from pros. Or you can make your own during a kite-making craft session. Kites are also available for purchase.
In addition, attendees can peruse displays of ancient and modern kites as well as learn about the fascinating history of Chinese kites and the the sport's segue into its modern-day usage and technologies.
