• ONO! (One Night Only) is a free monthly theatrical presentation by Maui OnStage. Catch the Maui Community Band, conducted by Ted Manzano, David Reid and others, perform much-loved classics including "Amazing Grace," "Irish Tune from County Derry," "Second Suite in F" by Gustav Holst and selections from The Beach Boys at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Historic Iao Theater in Wailuku. • Next Friday, ProArts Playhouse opens its season with "Strangers on a Train" starring Jefferson Davis and Geronimo Sun as Guy Haines and Charles Bruno -- two men who have an incidental yet fateful introduction on a train. During this impromptu meeting, Bruno suggests he could kill Guy's unfaithful wife while Guy could eliminate his hated father. Guy does not take him seriously, but Bruno is deadly serious -- and that's all we can disclose at this point.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays from Sept. 13 through 29 at the ProArts Playhouse in Kihei. Tickets are $26.
