North Shore Church will hold its Christmas Eve service at 6:30 p.m.
From 4 to 6:30 p.m., donations of children’s clothes may be dropped off at Haiku Elementary School for the Haiku Community Exchange.

Kahului Union Church’s Christmas Eve services will be held 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. with the theme of “Who do you say I am?”

Candlelight service on Christmas Eve
The annual Christmas Eve candlelight service at Keawala’i Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Members of Na Leo Nahenahe, the adult choir, and the Children’s Ensemble will perform under the direction of Stephen Haines. Jim Gruber and Ellen Caringer will play piano/keyboards.
People who are planning to attend are invited to bring a single stem flower or lei for the two outdoor floral Christmas trees. Seating will be provided for 800.
Parking will be available in the church overflow parking lot and along Makena Road.

Holiday celebration at Iao Theater
Unity Church of Maui will hold its Christmas Eve celebration at 6 p.m. at Iao Theater in Wailuku.
The Rev. Blaine Tinsley will give a “Celebration of Inspiration,” and there will be uplifting music and dance with Lei’ohu Ryder, Adisa Omar, Louise Lambert, Curt Lee, Ken Stover and the Keiki Choir.

Service readied for Paia church
Paia Hawaiian Protestant Church will host its Christmas Eve candlelight worship service at 7 p.m.
“Join us as we honor the birth of Jesus Christ through scriptures, hymns and praise songs, a children’s nativity procession, hula and candlelight reflection,” an announcement says.

Kihei Lutheran to hold services
Kihei Lutheran Church will offer Christmas Eve worship services at 4, 6 and 8 p.m.
The 4 p.m. service will offer a hands-on, participatory service for adults and children, according to an announcement. It will include a re-enactment of the nativity scene.
Each service will include candle lighting, Christmas carols, Holy Communion and a variety of special music. The choir will sing “Silent Night” as the congregation’s hula group dances the traditional Filipino “Pandanggo sa llaw” (“Dance of Light”).
The church is at 220 Moi Place, at the intersection with Piilani Highway.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites the community to celebrate Christ’s birth at its Christmas worship services. The times and locations are:
* 6 p.m. Christmas Eve in Kahului, includes Sunday school Christmas program.
* 9 p.m. Christmas Eve in Lahaina, includes candlelight communion service.
* 10 a.m. Christmas Day in Kahului.

Pageant, carols at Good Shepherd
Christmas Eve services at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church will begin at 6 p.m. with a costumed pageant and family Eucharist and with carol singing at 10:30 p.m., featuring members of the Maui Brass Ensemble under the direction of Lisa Owen.
Children and youth will present the story of Christ’s birth, with readings and carols, according to an announcement. The Good Shepherd Hand Bell Choir will perform and will accompany the congregational singing.
Ka ‘Ohana Kitchen will be open from 7 to 9 p.m. to serve anyone in need on Christmas Eve.
This annual event is hosted by a team led by Sierra Gabrels of the National Park Service. Anyone who wants to donate or volunteer should call the church office at 244-4656.
The traditional Christmas Mass will begin at 11:15 p.m. with special music by the church’s Senior Choir and Brass Ensemble.
Christmas Day Mass will be held at 9 a.m.
Christmas celebrations will continue until Epiphany on Jan. 6.

Makawao Union readies services
Makawao Union Church will celebrate Christmas Eve with two worship services.
A family service will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the traditional candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols at 11 p.m.
Both services will tell the story of Christmas with the singing of carols of the season and special music, according to an announcement.
The church’s Jazz Trio will play beginning at 5:30 p.m. Featured soloist Lisa Paulson and harpist Tatyana Shapiro-Leiste will perform Christmas carols at 10:30 p.m. The chancel choir will sing at the candlelight service, while stories for the children will be told at the 6 p.m. service.
Nursery service and child care will not be provided.
The church is an interdenominational community church located at 1445 Baldwin Ave., 2.5 miles uphill from Paia.

Children’s program on church schedule
The Apostolic Faith Church, Maui Branch, (Jesus Coming Soon) will hold a children’s Christmas program at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The service will consist of recitations, music and skits performed by the church’s Sunday School Department, in celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Brylee and Brevin Carillo of Pukalani will be the announcers. Annette Pagay of Waiehu is the program director.
A Christmas adult service will be held at 7 p.m.
