School announces classes for April
The Transformation School of Ministry has a change of schedule for its April classes, according to an announcement.
The first class will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 4, followed by classes from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 5, and 4 to 7:30 p.m. April 6. This month’s subject is “Evangelism and Outreach,” which will be taught by Bill Terry, the president of Advantage College.
The classes will be held at the Wailuku Door of Faith Church. Tuition for degree students is $150 per quarter and $50 per quarter for audit students.

Good Friday services set
Hope Chapel will hold its Good Friday services at 6 and 8 p.m. April 18, the church announced.
An Easter Sunrise service will be held at 6 a.m. April 20 on the church lawn, followed by services at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. inside the church. Light refreshments will be served after each service.
Children’s ministry will not be available during the 8 p.m. Good Friday service.
The church is at 300 Welakahao Road in Kihei.

Hanamatsuri event to be held April 6
The Maui Hanamatsuri Association will hold its annual Hanamatsuri event April 6 at the Velma McWayne Santos Community Center in Wailuku, according to an announcement.
The event begins with a 9 a.m. service, followed by games, prizes, entertainment and a potluck lunch. The celebration is open to the public.
Hanamatsuri commemorates the birth of Shakyamuni Buddha 2,500 years ago. It is one of the most-celebrated observances in Buddhism.
