Holy Week services set at St. Theresa
St. Theresa Church in Kihei has announced its schedule of Holy Week and Easter services.
Palm Sunday Misa Espanol will be at 5:30 and 7 p.m. Saturday. Palm Sunday Mass will also be at 7 and 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Holy Thursday Mass will be at 7 p.m. followed by Solemn Adoration. There will be a night prayer at 10 to close Solemn Adoration.
A Good Friday celebration of the Lord’s Passion will be at noon and 7 p.m. April 3.
There will be an Easter Vigil – Holy Saturday Mass at 7:30 p.m. April 4.
Easter Mass will be at 7 and 9:30 a.m. April 5.

St. Anthony church announces services
St. Anthony Catholic Church in Wailuku has announced its schedule of services for Holy Week and Easter.
Palm Sunday services will be offered at 5 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m., 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday.
Tenebrae service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, followed the next day by Holy Thursday service at 6 p.m.
On April 3 the Stations of the Cross will be at noon, followed by the Passion of the Lord, Venerations of the Cross services at 6 p.m.
Easter Vigil service on April 4 will be at 7 p.m.
Easter services will be at 7 and 9 a.m. April 5.

Annual pilgrimage planned for Sunday
St. Anthony Catholic Church’s Youth/LIFE team will hold its annual “Stations of the Cross Pilgrimage” from the church grounds to neighboring St. Ann’s parish in Waihee on Sunday. Participants will assemble in front of the church after the 9 a.m. Sunday liturgy, at approximately 10:30 a.m.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution as the group makes its way on Mill Street to Market Street. The pilgrimage will then continue through Happy Valley and will use Kahekili Highway to end at St. Ann’s. Along the way, members will pray at the 14 stations along designated locations.

Holy Week, Easter services announced
Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kahului has announced its schedule of Holy Week and Easter services.
Holy Thursday worship will be at 6 p.m., with Good Friday worship at 6 p.m. April 3.
Easter sunrise worship will be at 6:30 a.m. April 5, followed by Easter breakfast. There will also be a 10 a.m. Easter worship.

Service to be held at McCoy Theater
Unity Church will have its annual Easter service at the McCoy Theater at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center from 10 to 11:30 a.m. April 5.
The Rev. Blaine Tinsley will deliver an Easter message. Special guests will include Lei’ohu Ryder, Jim Price, Adisa Omar and Aunty Doll’s Hula Hui.
There will also be a keiki Easter egg hunt.

Waipuna Chapel announces services
Waipuna Chapel in Kula will have a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. April 3 with a quiet reflection on Jesus’ crucifixion.
Communion will be offered. Child care will be provided for children up to age 5. There will also be Bible teaching from Pastor Shaun Waite.
Easter Sunday services will be at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. April 5, accompanied by special music and dance presentations. A children’s program and egg hunt will be provided for keiki through 5th grade.

St. Joseph’s Holy Week schedule set
St. Joseph Church in Makawao has announced its Holy Week and Easter schedule of services.
Palm Sunday Mass will be at 5 p.m. Saturday and at 7 and 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday.
On Holy Thursday, there will be a morning prayer service at 7, Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7 p.m. and Transfer of the Blessed Sacrament Adoration from 8 to 10 p.m.
On April 3, there will be a morning prayer service at 7, Stations of the Cross at 7:30 a.m. and Liturgy of the Word, Adoration of the Holy Cross and Holy Communion at 3 p.m.
A morning prayer service will be held at 7 on April 4.
Easter Vigil will be 7 p.m. April 4.
Mass times on Easter Sunday, April 5, will be at 7, 9 and 11 a.m. There will be no 5 p.m. Mass.

Maria Lanakila Church
There will be no morning Mass on April 2-4 at Maria Lanakila.
There will be a 7 p.m. Mass of the Lord’s Supper followed by Solemn Adoration on Holy Thursday, closing with night prayer at 10.
On April 3, there will be a morning prayer at 9 and Good Friday Liturgy at 3 and 7 p.m.
A Morning Prayer with Blessing of Easter Baskets will be at 9 on April 4. There will be no 5:30 p.m. Mass. The Great Vigil of Easter Mass will be at 8 p.m.
Easter Sunday Mass on April 5 will be at 7, 9 and 11 a.m., and 5:30 p.m. There will be a 7 p.m. Mass in Spanish.

Sacred Hearts Mission Church will have a Holy Thursday Mass in Spanish at 6 p.m.

Services announced at Makena church
The tradition of members and friends wearing their finest hats woven out of pandanus leaves continues at Keawalai Congregational Church in Makena during Palm/Passion Sunday services at 7:30 and 10 a.m. Sunday.
The annual Maundy Thursday Service will begin at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church.
The annual Easter Sunrise Service will begin at 7:30 a.m. April 5 on the grounds of the church. The outdoor service will include the sharing of The Lord’s Supper and the Easter floral cross.
Members and friends are invited to bring single stem flowers or lei for the cross. These will be placed on the cross during the sharing of The Lord’s Supper.

Palm Sunday services planned
Kihei Lutheran Church will celebrate Palm Sunday with services at 8 and 10:30 a.m.
Each worshipper will receive a palm branch, along with a specially woven palm cross. Both services will include Holy Communion, with the congregation’s choir and keiki offering an anthem at the 10:30 a.m. service only.

Holy Week schedule set at St. John’s
St. John’s Episcopal Church in Kula has announced its schedule for Holy Week and Easter services.
Morning prayer will take place Monday and Tuesday at 8:30. Healing Eucharist will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Maundy Thursday, with foot-washing, will be at 6 p.m.
Good Friday’s sermons on The Last Words of Christ will take place at noon and 2 p.m. April 3. Good Friday egg coloring, crafts and keiki lunch will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Volunteers are invited to help decorate the church at 9 a.m. April 4.
Easter Vigil will be at 6:30 a.m. April 5 and the Easter Day Worship Service will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Easter breakfast will be offered between services, at approximately 8 a.m. An Easter Bonnet Parade will also take place between services, and an Easter egg hunt will follow the 9:30 a.m. service. Children who have attended Sunday School are invited to join in the hunt. They are asked to bring an empty basket.

Good Shepherd plans services
Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Wailuku has announced its schedule for Holy Week and Easter services, beginning on Palm Sunday with the Liturgy and Blessing of the Palms at 7 and 9 a.m. The 9 a.m. service will begin in the church office courtyard, followed by a processional into the church.
Maundy Thursday will be observed by a 7 p.m. service with music by the Senior Choir. At the end of the service, the altar will be stripped and a Garden of Repose will be set up and prayers can be offered until 10 p.m. Prayers will continue on April 3 at 10 a.m.
Also on Good Friday, the Stations of the Cross will be read at 6 p.m. A 7 p.m. service will include the Veneration of the Cross and the Solemn Liturgy. Communion will be offered from the Reserved Sacrament.
The Great Vigil of Easter begins at 8 p.m. April 4.
There will be a Festival Eucharist at 7 and 9 a.m. on April 5. All children attending either service are invited to join in the Easter Egg Hunt on the church grounds at the conclusion of the 9 a.m. service. Everyone is also invited to enjoy a potluck Easter Brunch in the Parish Hall after this service.
