Two pastors will share prophetic Scriptures
Pastor Jay Freitas of Church Of The Firstborn and Pastor Kipi Higa of New Hope Kahului will share prophetic biblical Scriptures and how they may be unfolding in the near future, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Saturday at University of Hawaii Maui College in the Pilina Building.
This is a free event. No child care will be available.

Shin Buddhist seminar offered in Makawao
The Rev. Tetsuo Unno from the Pasadena Buddhist Temple in California will be guest speaker at a Makawao Hongwanji Shin Buddhist Seminar Nov. 11-13. His topic will be "What Does it Mean to Not Only Know About but to Experience Shin Buddhist Truths?"
The schedule includes a meet-and-greet and talk story from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 11; program from 8:30 am. to 4 p.m. Nov. 12; and a Eitaikyo Service at 9 a.m. Nov. 13, followed by a program from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
A $15 registration fee is due Tuesday at the mission. The fee includes refreshments and Saturday lunch. For more information, call 572-7229.

Safety coordinator to speak at Nov. 13 service
Mike Hirano, home safety and fall prevention coordinator with Hawaii State Project Dana, will be the featured speaker at the Nov. 13 service at Wailuku Hongwanji Buddhist Temple beginning at 9 a.m.
After the service, Hirano will be available to talk story and answer questions.
Project Dana provides support services -- such as telephone visits, home visits, home safety assessments, transportation for medical appointments, grocery shopping and religious services -- for elderly and disabled people.
The principle of Dana is selfless giving of time and energy, providing compassion without the desire of recognition or reward. This is a faith-in-action program.
