Advent service set at Maria Lanakila
An Advent Penance Service will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Maria Lanakila Church in Lahaina.
Misa de Gallo Masses will be offered at 5 a.m. Dec. 16 to 24 at Maria Lanakila. The Filipino Catholic Christmas tradition features nine dawn Masses preceding Dec. 25, the Lord's Nativity.
At 6 p.m. Dec. 16, Maria Lanakila will present Christmas in Lahaina. Different choirs and singing groups in the parish will perform: Hawaiian, Hispanic, Tongan, Filipino, Vietnamese, Sacred Hearts school children and the youth ministry.
The Sacred Hearts School Children's Christmas Program will take place Dec. 21. For time and location, call the school office at 661-4720.

'March for Life' T-shirts on sale
The fifth annual Maui March for Life commemorative T-shirts are available for $10 each. Contact Ku'ulei Cagasan, chairperson of the Respect for Life Ministry of Christ the King Church, at 281-4469.
Co-sponsor of the annual March for Life is the parish's Knights of Columbus Council 8578. The Most Rev. Larry Silva, the bishop of the Diocese of Honolulu, will be participating in the Maui March for Life set for Jan. 21 starting at 9 a.m. at the corner of Kane Street and Kaahumanu Avenue, across from the Maui Beach Hotel.
