Launching today and running Tuesdays and Thursdays through July will be the twice weekly Farm to Fit class at Maui Tropical Plantation.

“We meet at the Kumu Farms stand at 5:30 p.m. and I teach a one-hour, all-levels, full-body workout,” says Katie Healy. “We also move around the plantation as equipment is set up. Those who sign up get 25 percent off all Kumu Farms produce for the month. Eat healthy while becoming healthy with movement.” For more details, you may email mauifitness@hotmail.com.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 18, and then bake and bring your own pie to Kumu Farms in celebration of the fourth annual #PieTweetup on Maui.

Open to the public, this free event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. aims to get Mauians into the kitchen and supporting local farmers markets and businesses.

Just bring your family and a pie, sweet or savory, made with as many local ingredients as possible (no dairy or cream pies, please). Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop will bake pies for sampling – and the first 25 people will also receive a goodie bag. Eco-friendly plates, forks and water will be provided or you may bring your own. Follow details at #PieTweetup.
