Eva Wehner, 4, runs through a range of emotions while learning to write computer code Wednesday evening during an "Hour of Code" STEMworks after-school evening at Pukalani Elementary School. Nevin is a 1st-grader at the school, one of more than 195 Pukalani Elementary students to participate in the Maui Economic Development Board's after-school program that also taught robotics, digital media and engineering design this fall. STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering and math.
