Enchanted Floral Gardens of Kula reopens

Enchanted Floral Gardens of Kula owner Jim Andrews shows a canna lily to Jessica and Frankie Donahue of Kapolei, Oahu. After being closed for four years, the gardens underwent an 18-month renovation by Andrews. The 8-acre property reopened May 29. It has 1,500 species of flowers, trees, tropical and subtropical plants, including more than 100 fruit trees. Located at 2505 Kula Highway, the attraction is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Entrance costs $10 for Hawaii residents, $12 for visitors, $8 for seniors over 65 and $6 for children 6 to 12.
