This is what happens when two legends meet
Legendary Hawaiian musician Robert Cazimero runs over to give another legend, Pukalani’s Aunty Emma Veary, a kiss after her note-perfect rendition of her song “E Maliu Mai” during his Concert at the Shops performance Wednesday evening at The Shops at Wailea. Veary, 88, is a classically trained opera singer, recording artist and former headliner for shows in Honolulu. “My voice has taken me all over the world,” Veary said after Cazimero’s concert. “It’s been a real gift.” Cazimero drew a crowd of about 350 to his free show. The next performer scheduled in the series of shows on the third and fifth Wednesdays of every month is John Cruz, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. March 21.
