Kuhio Day, egg hunt at UH-MC Sunday
A Kuhio Day celebration will begin with a sunrise service at 7 a.m. Sunday at the University of Hawaii Maui College Great Lawn in Kahului.
A cultural protocal follows at 7:30 a.m., and an Easter egg hunt at 8:15.
The festival runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It includes entertainment, food, crafts, Makahiki games, a farmers market, jumping castles, an art contest for children, and community information booths.
Co-sponsors are the Maui Mokupuni Council and University of Hawaii Maui College in collaboration with the Royal Order of Kamehameha Kahekili Chapter IV.
Kuhio Day, which was officially celebrated on Monday, salutes Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole, whose March 26 birthday is a state and county holiday. He spearheaded the passage of the 1920 Hawaiian Homes Commission Act, establishing the Hawaiian homestead program.

Seniors Club sale April 7 in Kihei
The Ehiku Seniors Club in Kihei is holding its semiannual arts and crafts, bake and rummage sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 7.
It will be at the community room of Hale Mahaolu Ehiku at 56 Ehiku St. in Kihei.
The seniors club is a nonprofit organization and provides information and resources as well as planning low-cost social and cultural outings for kupuna.

5 businesses share 'How I Did It'
Five Maui businesses will share "How I Did It" from 5:15 to 8:45 p.m. April 4 at the Kahili Golf Club in Waikapu.
Kihei Caffe, Maui Cattle Co., Native Intelligence, Two Chicks in a Hammock, and Oko'a Farms will share the different challenges they faced in each stage of their business growth. The speakers are Barry Allison, Alex Franco, Kapono'aikaulikeikeao Molitau, Kat Crosby and Michelle Jones, and Ryan Earehart.

Cultural festival returns to Kapalua
The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua will host the Celebration of the Arts Festival on Friday and Saturday. Artisans, educators, cultural practitioners, speakers and entertainers will celebrate and share Hawaii's history and culture with resort guests and residents. Cultural activities include traditional ceremonies, music and dance, cuisine experiences, films, hands-on art demonstrations and speaker and cultural panels.
