A 25-year-old Haiku man was charged with threatening a police officer after he was arrested for refusing to leave a Kihei complex early Dec. 26, police said.
Jeffrey Wilson was charged with first-degree terroristic threatening and disorderly conduct. After he appeared in Wailuku District Court last week, he was released and ordered to return to court Jan. 17.
According to police, Wilson was highly intoxicated when he was ordered to leave the Kihei Kalama Villages property at 12:44 a.m. but refused to go. A Kihei patrol officer was transporting Wilson to the Kihei Police Station at about 1:10 a.m. when he threatened to kill the officer, according to police.
