My wife and I had a wonderful vacation in Maui two weeks ago, but immediately after landing, we were dismayed to see obvious grand theft, overlooked by Maui police.
Shopping carts are expensive and we saw a collection that obviously had been stolen from local stores. They were never intended to serve as shelters for people who cannot or will not support themselves.
Why aren't Maui police confiscating stolen property and prosecuting thieves in possession of it?
