Visiting Haleakala is a part of Hawaiian culture

I feel as though everyone being required to make reservations to go to Haleakala isn’t fair. I understand tourists having to because they aren’t from here and Haleakala is a national park.

But before, Hawaiians were allowed to go up there. As a Hawaiian, I think that it is our right to be able to go up there without having to make a “reservation” or pay. It is a part of our culture and it is a part of who we are.
