A Jan. 15 Associated Press article in The Maui News discussed the attempts to rescue Sears from bankruptcy by its owner and former CEO Eddie Lampert, a multibillionaire.
When I recently visited Sears' Maui branch, I could find no carts to carry my purchases. I was told by the shop assistants they had no carts, they had all been stolen.
I suggested it might help Sears survive if Lampert invest a few hundred dollars to buy some shopping carts.
