New Zealand is a good anti-gun control argument. All the gun control in New Zealand could not stop the perpetrator from mass murder. People are living under the false pretense that police and government will protect them. All that gun control does is punish the law-abiding citizen -- we have background checks, we have wait times -- but an evil person will do whatever they can to get a weapon illegally.
What solves these mass shootings is an armed citizenry. Are you more inclined to kill a wolf with claws and razor blade teeth, or a gentle lamb with no defenses? An openly armed citizen turns a lamb into a wolf. An armed citizenry makes any place a hard target that an evil person will think twice about.
