Letter inspires steps to weaponize family

1 min read

I enthusiastically support the opinion of our "Armed Citizenry" advocate (Letters, March 29). Taking to heart the need to weaponize all Mauians in the face of impending terrorism, I initiated several steps to ensure the safety of my friends and family.

I already have in place a tadpole moat around my property, but I realize that villainous transgressors might tunnel under that watery perimeter, uproot our petunia bed and ravage our fig tree. Those horrific possibilities have caused me to arm my entire family: my wife, with her .45 caliber Glock 30SF; my mother-in-law, a tree-top sniper, with her rusty but trusty muzzle-loader; and my children, with their bump-stock-mounted BB guns.

I should add that our ammo-dump is located amidst doilies and mattress pads in the linen closet. Backup arms include an 8mm Mauser and several pea-shooters.

So, from our respective fortifications, I urge everyone to "Lock and Load."
