Thursday--The Maui Oceanfront Marathon Free Cookie Run, a 2.8-mile fun run, will be held at 8 a.m. at Kalama Park in Kihei. Runners are asked to bring cookies or snack to share and to wear old shoes, as they will get wet, and then donate them to Kihei Youth Center. For more information, visit runmaui.com.
Sunday--The Maui Oceanfront Marathon is set for Sunday from Wailea to Kamehameha Iki Park in Lahaina starting at 5 a.m. Early start for seniors is 4:40 a.m. The half-marathon and 15K starts at 6:25 a.m. and the 5K begins at 8:30 a.m. Discounts are available for kamaaina, seniors, military and children. Registration and number pickup will be Friday at 2480 S. Kihei Rd., No. 28, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and on Saturday at Pioneer Inn in Lahaina from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. For more information, visit runmaui.com or call 874-5588.
