Thirty-four of the 37 winners from the 2018 calendar year have committed to the 2019 Sentry Tournament of Champions, which is set to run next week at the Kapalua Plantation Course. The deadline to commit to the event was Friday.
Seven of the top 10 in the 2017-18 FedExCup standings are in the field as well as nine of the top 10 in the current 2018-19 FedExCup standings, including current leader Charles Howell III.
Seven of the top eight players in the Official World Golf Rankings are in the field, led by No. 1 Brooks Koepka and No. 3 Dustin Johnson, the defending champion of the Sentry event.
The field also includes four of the last six FedExCup champions in addition to eight first-timers to play here.
The first-timers to Kapalua are Cameron Champ, Brice Garrett, Michael Kim, Satoshi Kodaira, Andrew Landry, Andrew Putnam, Kevin Tway, and Aaron Wise.
The only players eligible for the field who decided not to compete are Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Justin Rose.
Tickets are still available at SentryTournamentofChampions.com. Fans are reminded that up to three children ages 18 and under are admitted free of charge to the tournament with every paid adult (applies to grounds access only).
All four rounds of the event will be televised live on Golf Channel.
