Rado Parapunov had 16 kills as the second-ranked University of Hawaii men's volleyball team swept No. 3 UC Irvine for the second straight night Saturday, beating the Anteaters 25-13, 25-22, 25-20 in Irvine, Calif.
Stijn van Tilburg added 13 kills as the Rainbow Warriors improved to 12-0 (every win by sweep) and 2-0 in Big West Conference play.
Colton Cowell, a King Kekaulike High School graduate, finished with seven kills, two digs and three blocks for UH, which hit .529 as a team. Joe Worsley dished out 39 assists and Patrick Gasman had seven blocks -- the Rainbow Warriors outblocked the Anteaters 12-4.
Aaron Koubi had 10 kills to lead UC Irvine (13-4, 2-2).
Hawaii next hosts the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Invitational starting Thursday against King University. Also in the tournament are Ball State and Pepperdine.
