No. 2 UH has no trouble with King

King Kekaulike High School graduate Colton Cowell had five kills, three aces and three blocks as the second-ranked University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team dominated King University 25-8, 25-15, 25-7 on the opening night of the Outrigger Resorts Invitational on Thursday at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

Cowell also had an assist and a dig while playing in two sets for the Rainbow Warriors (13-0), who won in just an hour and nine minutes. Dalton Solbrig led UH with eight kills.

Sean Kohlhase had five of his team’s 12 total kills as the Tornado fell to 10-6.

Hawaii faces Ball State today before wrapping up the tournament Saturday against No. 6 Pepperdine.
