MAUI TAIKO CELEBRATES ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY. One of Maui's favorite groups, Maui Taiko, performs at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului. Maui Taiko was formed by the descendents of Japanese immigrants in the hopes of perpetuating a centuries old drumming tradition. The group will be joined by San Jose Taiko, Uneme Daiko, from Japan, shakuhachi master Marco Lienhard, from New York, and the Japanese dance groups Nakayama Minyo Kai and Maui Minyo Kai.
