Fumie Hanada of Kahului, Maui, passed away on May 8, 2023. Born on July 31, 1924 in Kahului, she was a familiar face at Wailuku Florist near the old Ooka Super Market and later at Kaahumanu Center’s Shirokiya and Camellia Seed Store. She enjoyed working in her yard, helping care for her grandchildren, playing all kinds of card games and solving Word Search puzzles. Rocky Iwamura, of Lahaina, Maui, passed away on June 15, 2023 at Hale Makua Kahului under the care of Hospice Maui. He was born on October 4, 1926 in Lahaina. A private service was held. Gerald James “Pugee” Perreira, of Haiku, Maui passed away on June 14, 2023 under the care of his loving family and Hospice Maui. He was born on September 5, 1946 in Paia, Maui. Gerald was the owner and operator of Pugee’s Trucking. He was a loyal usher at St. Joseph Catholic Church for many years, and also part of the classic car, motorcycle, and trucking communities.
