Brian Hideo ‘Hide’ Shima, was born on September 3, 1925, to Mr. Toku and Mrs. Ushi Shimabukuro of Lahaina, Maui. He passed away peacefully on June 17, 2023, at Hale Makua, Kahului. Mr. Shim grew up in Crater Village, high above Lahaina town, where he and his many siblings enjoyed the pleasures and benefits of a small rural community.
