Tokio “Jack” Kakiuchi of Kahului passed away on April 22, 2022 at his home under the care of Hospice Maui. He was born on July 16, 1925 in Paia, Maui. “Jack” retired from Maui Land and Pineapple Company after more that 40 years of service. He is predeceased by his wife Shizue “Betty” Kakiuchi. Tokio is survived by his son Craig (Jan) Kakiuchi, daughter Eunice (Guy) Muraoka and grandchildren Haley Kakiuchi, Seth Muraoka and Len Muraoka. Our dad, grandpa and great grandpa, Kenji Kawaguchi, 94, passed away peacefully on the evening of April 2, 2022. He was born on Dec 25, 1927, in Makawao, to Rikiichi and Shizuko Kawaguchi, the third oldest of ten children. After the family moved to Lahaina, he attended Kamehameha III Elementary and Lahainaluna High School. Upon graduating from high school, he worked at the pineapple cannery for about a year before de-ciding to attend the University of Hawaii Manoa, on Oahu. Felisa G. Acorda was born in Calanigan, Sto Tomas, Isabela, Philippines on December 24, 1930. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her Pukalani Home on May 4, 2022 at the age of 91.
