Kikue “Kay” Takaki, 96

Kikue “Kay” Takaki of Kahului, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2021, at Hale Makua Kahului. She was born on September 27, 1924, to Kichizo & Yuki (Uchida) Nagato. Kikue was a talented seamstress and worked for many years at Ted’s Men’s Wear in Wailuku. She was also a longtime salesclerk at Robins at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Shopping Center. She and her husband Minoru traveled extensively throughout the U.S. mainland and Japan with their friends, and especially enjoyed playing the slots in Las Ve-gas several times a year. Shirley Mieko (Sukimoto) Young was born on December 08, 1931 and passed away on April 14, 2021. Iris Ginoza of Kihei passed into Our Heavenly Father’s embrace on 04-18-2021 at Maui Memorial Hospital. She was born on 09-30-1952 at 11:46pm in Wailuku to Katsunori and Rose Nishida. Iris is survived by her husband, Charley Ginoza; and children Curtis (Michelle), Alton, and Tammy. Beverly H. Kaya, 88, of Kahului, passed away on March 19, 2021. She was born in Wailuku, Maui to Hachiro and Satomi Takayama. Beverly attended St. Anthony School, later transferring to Baldwin High School, where she graduated. She worked as a secretary at the State of Hawaii Department of Rehabilitation until her retirement. Marina worked as a field worker for both Pioneer Mill and Maui Pine.
