Lillian “Gloria” Yamaguchi, 81, of Wailuku, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2019 at Maui Memorial Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Gloria was born on January 15, 1938 to Rosario and Marcelino Purugganan in Wailuku, Maui; she was raised in Waikapu and graduated from Baldwin High School, Class of 1957. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and caregiver to countless children. She loved music and was an accomplished singer. Kazumi Kawakami, 87, of Wailuku passed away peacefully at Hale Makua Kahului under the care of Hale Makua North, Hospice Maui and surrounded by his loving family on February 10, 2019. Magdalena “Madge” Peterson, 96, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2019 at Hale Makua, Wailuku. She was born on July 9, 1922 in Pennsylvania. She retired as a waitress from the Sheraton Maui Hotel. Madge is survived by her son, Kenneth “Pete” A. Peterson and his family.
