Sonja Leonora Atai, 72, of Pukalani, Maui, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2018, under hospice care. She was born February 2, 1946 in Lanai City, Lanai. Sonja is survived by her husband, Myron Atai, brother, Gain Matsumura and sister, Celia (Paul) Babcock, and many nieces and nephews. Sonja is preceded by her parents Richard and Annie Matsumura, and sisters Lana (George) Costa, Sylvia Matsumura, and Heather Matsumura, a brother Casey (Joyce) Matsumura. Mr. Ramon C. Dadiz-Gaspar, 90, passed on Oct. 12, 2018 at Hospice Maui Hale. Visitation will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Thu., Nov. 15, 2018 at 6:00pm; with prayer service at 7pm. Visitation will continue at St. Anthony Church on Fri., Nov. 16, 2018 at 9am, with Mass at 11 am. Burial will follow at 12:30 pm at Maui Memorial Park. Joseph Fernandez Jr., 65, of Wailuku passed away on November 1st, 2018. He was born on July 28, 1953 in Pu’unene, Maui. He was a truck driver for HC&S for 22 years.
