Allen S. Matsumoto, 68, of Kula, passed away on September 22nd, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. Allen was born in upper Paia to Masaru and Alice Matsumoto. After graduating from Maui High School in 1967, he joined the army, completing his term of service as a medic. Upon returning to Maui he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic at Fuku Construction Co. and later worked 28 years for the County of Maui, in the Finance Department as a Motor Vehicle Safety Check Inspector. Humiko “Lorraine” Fujiyama, 95, of Lahaina, passed away peacefully at home under the compassionate care of Hospice Maui and her loving family. Services honoring Mrs. Fujiyama will be held at Lahaina Hongwanji Mission on Saturday, September 30, 2017. Visitation will begin at 9:00am, with a memorial service beginning at 10:00am.
