Melvin A. Andrade, Sr., 82 of Haiku, passed away on February 7, 2017 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on August 16, 1934 in Paia, Maui. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at St. Anthony Church, Wailuku; mass will begin at 11 a.m., and burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku. Rolf “Pinky” August Anderson, 62, of Kihei, passed away on January 30, 2017. He was born on May 26, 1954 in Davenport, Iowa. “Pinky” began his career in restaurant sales with Hockenberg Fixture & Supply Co, Davenport, Iowa. Jean Stapleton Coleman, 91, of Makawao, formerly of Honolulu, died Dec. 22, in Kahului. Jean was born Feb. 16, 1925, in Detroit, to Charles and Roselind Stapleton. She lived mostly in Hawaii, but loved to travel, including spending eight years in Japan, where she married and had three of her four children; three years, starting in 1978, circling the globe teaching English and doing astrology charts; and five years while in her 60s in Holland and Tunisia with the U.S. Foreign Service.
