Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary on Lanai; mass will begin at 10:00 a.m.; burial will follow at Lanai Cemetery. Frances Fortunata “Atang” Arcilla Sevilla, born October 14, 1928, in Pepe’ekeo, Hawai’i passed away on December 21, 2016 at Hale Makua Kahului. Frances was the daughter of the late Theresa and Pedro Arcilla, who were from respectively, Cebu and Ormok in the Visayas, Philippines.  The Arcilla family moved to Hamakuapoko, Maui, when Frances was three years old.  She attended Maui High School in “H-poko,” but her education was interrupted by WWII.  She later attended Maui Vocational School and earned her GED from the Department of Education, Adult Education ...
