World Whale Day to celebrate humpbacks

Maui's most famous visitors - the humpback whales, of course - will be celebrated Saturday at the 36th Annual World Whale Day and Parade of Whales.The Pacific Whale Foundation's day of festivities will kick off with a parade along South Kihei Road featuring revelers in sea character costumes as well as ocean-themed floats created by community organizations, schools and local businesses.
