Two men were arrested Saturday when police raided a cockfight being held off Kaimana Road near the Hawaiian Cement baseyard in Kihei, police said.

Officers from the Vice Gambling & Morals Unit carried out the raid while about 100 people were watching a cockfight at about 5 p.m., police said.

The two men arrested were each holding a gamecock fitted with fighting paraphernalia, police said.

Travis Tolentino, 23, and Shannon Mollena, 44, both of Wailuku, were charged with second-degree cruelty to animals and possession of a gambling device. Their bail was set at $400 each.
