A special day for all
First photo: Selena Torres watches her son Jayce, 4, try to win a prize in the Goblet Toss game during Friday’s Maui Fair Special Fair at the War Memorial Complex. “It’s super fun,” Torres said of the morning event that opens the fairgrounds to attendees with special needs and their caregivers. “He’s having such a good time. All the workers are so nice.” This year’s Special Fair was presented by the county Parks Department and its staff. Organizations providing food, drinks and other support included Hale Mahaolu, Central Pacific Bank, Minit Stop, Cupies, Maui Soda & Ice, Costco, Matson and Maui Toyota. The Maui Fair hits the halfway point and is open 10 a.m. to midnight today and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday.
