The Coach Soichi Sakamoto Pool at the War Memorial Complex has reopened following the completion of pool repairs and restroom renovations, the county announced Thursday.

The restroom renovation project included the removal and replacement of fixtures, accessories, partitions, showers, ceramic tiles and floor drainage to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility standards. It also included the repainting of the interior surfaces, removal and disposal of hazardous materials, and testing and air monitoring of areas affected by hazardous materials.

Improvements to the pool included repair and maintenance of pool filters and pumps and painting of exterior and interior walls and benches.

The pool had been closed since June 1.
