MATT BAILEY – New Montage GM

Matt Bailey, who has more than four decades of hotel industry experience, has been named the new general manager of Montage Kapalua Bay, a company announcement said.

Bailey joins Montage Kapalua Bay from Carmel Valley Ranch, Calif., where he was managing director.

He has 20 years of experience in Hawaii, with five years as president of Aqua-Aston Hospitality; managing director at The Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa; general manager of The Manele Bay Hotel; and resident manager of The Kapalua Bay Hotel & Villas, among other roles.

Bailey has served on boards and in organizations such as Hawaii Visitors Convention Bureau and the Honolulu Board of Water Supply Stakeholders Advisory Group.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in hotel administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
