DOH reports 248 new cases, including 12 on Maui
The state Department of Health on Sunday reported 248 new cases of COVID-19, including 228 on Oahu, 12 on Maui and eight on Hawaii island.
There have now been 6,600 cases statewide, including 6,031 on Oahu, 290 in Maui County, 200 in Hawaii County and 56 on Kauai. Twenty-three residents have been diagnosed out of state. As a result of updated lab information, three cases from Oahu and one case from Maui were removed from the total counts, the DOH said.
Of the total cases, 2,143 have been released from isolation, 396 have been hospitalized and 47 have died, including 39 on Oahu, seven on Maui and one Kauai resident out of state.
