The show finally goes on a Ka‘ahumanu Theatres
Makawao’s Chris Stewart (from right) gets a rundown on the movie “The New Mutants” from daughter Isabella Stewart, 11, and her friend, Kamalei Reyes, 11, Friday afternoon after they exited Consolidated Theatres Ka’ahumanu at Queen Ka’ahumanu Center in Kahului. The Kalama Intermediate School 6th-graders said it felt great to get out and do something that used to be normal. “It feels fun, amazing,” Reyes said. “It was fun because I get to hang out with my friend,” Isabella said. The venue reopened Friday after the county gave movie theaters, bowling alleys, ocean-related competitions and commercial event operators permission to resume business earlier this week.
