Maui woman arrested for travel violation
A Maui woman was arrested for violating travel quarantine rules when she arrived at Kahului Airport from Oahu without an approved negative pre-travel COVID-19 test, police said.
Patricia Baker, 42, also refused to provide an address and contact phone number for a location where she could complete the mandatory 10-day travel quarantine, police said.
She left the screening area and went to the baggage claim area, where she was detained by airport police.
Baker was transported to the Wailuku Police Station and was charged with violating public health emergency rules. She was released after posting $2,000 bail.
