All proceeds from meals at two Maui restaurants on Friday will go toward supporting families in Ukraine.

Maui’s Lei of Aloha for World Peace is partnering with Nalu’s South Shore Grill, ekolu kitchen1279 and some of Maui’s best local artists to raise funds for organizations and volunteers in Ukraine and neighboring countries, according to an announcement on Wednesday.

At Nalu’s, 100 percent of proceeds from breakfast, lunch and dinner will support efforts, with kanikapila provided by local musicians and hula dancers from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

At ekolu kitchen1279, 100 percent of dinner proceeds will be donated, with music provided by several artists including Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winning Maui singer Amy Hanaiali’i. Executive Chef-Partner Geno Sarmiento will prepare a special four-course bistro dinner at a cost of $100 per person.

Cash and check donations in support of Ukraine also can be made out to Toy Parade Inc. and dropped off at Nalu’s and ekolu kitchen1279.
