Legendary songwriter Smokey Robinson performs at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Friday night. The Detroit-born artist, whose four-decade career includes founding The Miracles while in high school and becoming one of the chief architects of the Motown Record dynasty, made his Maui debut on Friday.

Award-winning local artists Amy Hanaiali’i and Eric Gilliom open the show for Smokey Robinson on Friday night at the MACC.
