FIRST PHOTO: Kapa Curious business owner Kekai Daunhauer shares her passion for the Hawaiian tradition of kapa making and dyeing with her hands-on table at Friday’s Prince Kuhio Maui Ho’olaule’a at Queen Ka’ahumanu Center.

SECOND PHOTO: Wailuku’s Lopaka Naihe comes out of the audience to perform a hula to “Ka Lehua I Milia” as the band Kuikawa plays during Friday’s event. On stage are band members Joshua Kulhavy-Sutherland, Koakane Mattos and Lukela Kanae. Kuikawa was part of a full lineup of entertainment and Hawaiian crafts and activities featured at the annual free event.
