Tokuda taking art contest submissions
U.S. Rep. Jill Tokuda is taking submissions for the 2023 Congressional Art Competition that is open to all high school students in Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District, which includes the Neighbor Islands and part of Oahu.
Finalists for the Artistic Discovery Contest will be selected from each county in the district and their art will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol in the Cannon tunnel, which members of Congress use every day as well as tens of thousands of visitors from across the country and the world, according to a news release from Tokuda’s office on Friday. The finalist’s artwork will also be featured on the U.S. House of Representatives’ Congressional Art Competition webpage at house.gov/educators-and-students/congressional-art-competition, as well as on Tokuda’s website and social media pages.
