WAILUKU – According to the Maui Fire Department (MFD), a structure fire was reported in Lanai City at 3:53 a.m. on Tuesday. The fire was fully extinguished at 9:50 a.m.

“Firefighters arrived to find a warehouse structure utilized as a laundry fully involved with fire,” the press release for the incident reads. “While confirming everyone was out of the building, firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries have been reported by the MFD. An estimated $450,000 in damage was sustained to the structure, according to preliminary MFD estimates. Insurance estimates around $6-8 million in damage to the business was done.
