The theme for the 2025 Festivals of Aloha will be “Hahai nō ka Ua i ka Ululā’au – Rains Always Follow the Forests.”

Selected by Kumu Hula Cody Pueo Pata, this ‘ōlelo no’eau honors Hawaii’s designation of 2025 as the year of community forests.

This year’s Festivals of Aloha will span September through October with celebrations across Maui, Lanai, Molokai, Wailea, Hana and Makawao.

According to organizers, each event is meant to uplift the traditions of the small towns and kupuna, while inviting residents and visitors to join in the spirit of aloha as Maui continues its path of healing.
